About News Appite
Independent, round-the-clock news from Delhi — who we are, how we work and how to reach us.
Last updated:
News Appite (news.appite.in) is an independent digital news publication based in Delhi, India. We report on the stories that shape everyday life in India and the world — from politics and the economy to sports, technology, entertainment, health, automobiles and cryptocurrency — and we do it 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Our aim is simple: give readers fast, verified and easy-to-understand news without sensationalism. Every article is written to answer the questions a reader actually has — what happened, why it matters, and what happens next.
Our mission
We believe reliable news should be free, fast and accessible on any device. News Appite was created to cut through noise and clickbait with plain-language reporting that respects the reader's time. We prioritise accuracy over speed, context over outrage, and transparency over everything else.
What we cover
Our newsroom is organised into dedicated sections, each updated throughout the day:
You can browse every section on the categories page, follow the newest stories on Latest news, or subscribe to our RSS feed.
Editorial standards
These principles guide everything we publish:
- Accuracy first. Facts, figures and quotes are checked against primary sources — official statements, regulatory filings, company announcements, court records and on-record interviews — before publication.
- Clear sourcing. When a story builds on reporting by another outlet, we credit and link to it. Anonymous sources are used only when the information is in the public interest and cannot be obtained any other way.
- Independence. Editorial decisions are made solely by our editorial team. Advertisers, sponsors and partners have no say in what we cover or how we cover it.
- Fairness. We present opposing viewpoints, avoid loaded language and clearly separate news from opinion and analysis.
- Respect for readers. No misleading headlines, no undisclosed sponsored content, no manipulation of images or video.
- Originality. We do not copy other publishers' work. Every article on News Appite is written in our own words, adds context and is properly attributed.
Corrections policy
We take mistakes seriously. If we get something wrong, we fix it quickly and transparently:
- Factual errors are corrected in the article as soon as they are confirmed, and the story shows an Updated timestamp.
- Significant corrections are noted at the end of the article so readers can see what changed.
- Articles are only removed in exceptional circumstances (for example, legal requirements or serious safety concerns).
To report an error, email contact@appite.in with the article link and the details. Most correction requests are reviewed within 24 hours.
How we use technology
We are transparent about our tools. News Appite uses AI-assisted software to help monitor news sources, draft article structures, generate summaries and proof-read copy. This lets a small team cover a lot of ground quickly. What technology does not do is decide what is true: every story is grounded in verified reporting from real sources, is reviewed by our editorial team, and follows the standards and corrections policy above. If you believe an article contains an error, please tell us.
How we are funded
News Appite is free to read. The site is supported by display advertising served through networks such as Google AdSense, and occasionally by sponsored content or affiliate links. Sponsored or affiliate material is always clearly labelled, and it never influences our independent reporting. See our Privacy Policy for how advertising cookies work and our Disclaimer for more on affiliate links.
The team
Our contributors are journalists and subject specialists who write under the News Appite Editorial byline. All of them work to the standards described on this page.
